Edd

Name: Edd Pickard

Age: older than I look

Where did you spend your formative years: in the real world, the mean streets of Repton and Cambridge, in the cycling world I learned a lot riding with great people at Derby Mercury and Belper cycling club

What are your 2016 targets: stay upright, win everything possible, world peace.

How long have you been cycling and what other sports are you keen on: I watched cycling as a kid because of my dad’s background but drifted away from it after the ’98 tour. I got interested again in 2009 and started racing a bit in 2010. I used to play a lot of golf and hockey when I was at school and university. I also like watching rugby union.

What do you do outside of cycling: work a lot, read, play the guitar occasionally

Besides the obvious whats the most important piece of bike kit: I’m not really too fussed to be honest, all the fashion chat and sock banter goes on a bit (sorry Andy!) just get on your bike and ride it instead of talking about it all the time!
